I believe that everyone deserves equal opportunity to be happy, healthy and powerful. I enjoy my life participating in collective efforts to make this happen.  Most of my days are lived thinking and acting on the empowerment of grassroots leaders in order to promote the rights, dignity and happiness of our human family. Based on this mission, I currently play different roles as part of the following organizations:

- I have been working for more than 5 years at the Grassroots Leadership Network of Marin ,  where I co-created the Grassroots Leadership Academy and currently act as the organization's Associate Director;

 - I advocate for women's rights and empowerment by serving as commissioner on the Marin Women's Commission 

- To pressure the alcohol industry to act responsibly and reduce its negative social impacts, I serve on the Board of the  Marin Institute

- I am an active member of Friends of MST and the Marin Interfaith Task Force on the Americas. I also directly support Greenpeace, KPFA and other NGOs doing great work.

Change is possible and it starts with us. 

I love the positive and uplifiting Brazilian energy, as well as the  alternative and progressive side of the Brazilian culture. I love it so much that I bring it with me everywhere. I like to say that Brazil is not a country - it is a state of mind and soul. 

I enjoy bringing friends with me to Brazil. I consider showing the beautiful side of the country and its people as one of the most powerful personal and social transformation actions I can lead.
